SYNEXXUS is rapidly growing it’s Smart Cities and Industrial Internet of Things line of business and is looking for a dynamic individual to support the development of and lead a new sales team.  The ideal candidate will identify, qualify and close new opportunities.  The desired candidate will need to possess a proven track record of selling products and solutions to Federal, state and local governments as well as commercial customers. He/she will have the ability to demonstrate and analyze the needs of prospects and customers and determine how to position SYNEXXUS to competitively meet those needs.  This position will provide support to and coordinate with the Business Development team on revenue opportunities.

Now Hiring a Technical Sales Lead who will lead the sales effort to introduce our Smart Cities products and Industrial Internet of Things solutions to potential customers, explaining technical features and demonstrating the power of SYNEXXUS, Inc. products. Technical understanding, strong communication, organizational skills, and previous experience selling technology products are a must.  Problem solving is a critical skill along with the ability to be self-driven. Ability to succeed in this role will require strong drive as well as the application of advanced technical/business skills.

Travel Required: 25%+

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop and implement business opportunities in and around SYNEXXUS product offerings
  • Create/Maintain/Present product solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and coordinate additional technical resources as needed to build sales channels
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as required
  • Own and drive sales growth in accordance with goals defined by SYNEXXUS,
  • Develop relationships with partners and customers in support of SYNEXXUS sales objectives
  • Keep current of vertical markets dynamics, application trends and competitive information
  • Provide technical expertise and real-life experience in creating solutions, designs, proof of concept and implementation
  • Identify and respond to RFP’s
  • Conduct research and use knowledge of competitive solutions to effectively address and dispel customer objections

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in a technical major or equivalent practical experience
  • 5-10 years of sales experience in the technology sector.
  • Experience serving in the capacity of a technical sales lead in an equivalent customer-facing role (including working as a member of a professional services or systems engineering team)
  • Experience with Big Data, PaaS, and IaaS technologies.
  • Technical acumen with the ability to relate it with business value
  • Proven track record of sales performance and knowledge of Federal sales
  • Comfort with an enterprise and transactional sales model
  • Ability to forecast accurately, manage sales expenses and meet sales objectives
  • High intellect and the capacity to multi task
  • Excellent qualifying and closing skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Business development, prospecting skills and ability to build strong partner relationship.
  • Experience presenting and delivering technical pitches
  • US Citizenship required
