SYNEXXUS is rapidly growing it’s Smart Cities and Industrial Internet of Things line of business and is looking for a dynamic individual to support the development of and lead a new sales team.  The ideal candidate will identify, qualify and close new opportunities.  The desired candidate will need to possess a proven track record of selling products and solutions to Federal, state and local governments as well as commercial customers. He/she will have the ability to demonstrate and analyze the needs of prospects and customers and determine how to position SYNEXXUS to competitively meet those needs.  This position will provide support to and coordinate with the Business Development team on revenue opportunities.

Now Hiring a Inside Sales / Channel Support Representative who be responsible for providing pre-sales through qualification and follow-up (customer support) activities for the benefit of SYNEXXUS defense and commercial sales channels, acting as an internal resource for Business Development organization. This person will act as a dedicated defense and commercial inside sales/channel research, resource and support individual located in the home office (Arlington, VA). Compensation will be reflected through the successful completion of the following metrics.

Essential Job Functions

  • Handling incoming calls / requests from VP of BD, sales prospects and customers, including web-based inquiries, media and tradeshow leads
  • Utilizing online resources to assess target program status and related business opportunities, generate qualified leads and pursue direct sales for products and services
  • Calling on existing or new customers for pre-sales, qualification or follow-up activities (customer support, etc.) as defined by VP of Business Development
  • Working with Business Development and Engineering to provide product and system configurations and accessories support documents and diagrams to fulfill customer requirements, as appropriate
  • Providing regular inputs, data entry and account maintenance with AtTask CRM, providing continuous organization, association and “clean-up” of the CRM database
  • Providing reach-back sales and administrative support for Business Development organization through the following activities:
  • Create, review and revise quotes and send to customer, as requested by VP of BD
  • Assist in the development of leads by providing supporting information to customers on a case by case basis, as directed
  • Follow up on orders that require revision, certs & reps or other document support
  • As directed by VP of BD, target specified regions, accounts, commands and organizations and other dormant accounts to update contacts and re-engage in active selling mode, ideally resulting in further direct sales or re-energized leads
  • Successfully completing comprehensive training and developing a solid understanding of company products, corporate methods and practices, related marketing activities and customer service support policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in a technical major or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 3 – 5 years minimum related experience with database management and sales skills required.
  • Ability to travel (less than 25%) on an as-needed basis (tradeshows, product demos, training, etc.)
  • Prefer knowledge of Defense and/or Internet of Things (IoT) industries
  • Excellent database management, verbal and written communications skills
  • Good planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • Prior military or DoD experience preferred
