Now Hiring a Technical Program Manager to be responsible for representing SYNEXXUS at the customer’s site, coordinating day-to-day field activities to ensure on-time delivery of our technical smart cities platform.

Travel Required: Extensive travel, required. The candidate must be on-site at the customer location Monday thru Friday. Lodging and transportation paid for by SYNEXXUS.

Essential Job Functions

  • Support system and architecture designs throughout development
  • Install all server hardware and software appropriate for a given project or company need
  • Install hardware, configure, maintain and ensure reliability of localized Network Operations Centers
  • Analyze network utilization, suggest improvements, where needed, and work toward peak network efficiency
  • Take responsibility for servers and network uptime and maintain audit/event logs; configuration management; data storage and backup; and security management

Required Qualifications

  • BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
  • Strong teamwork and team leadership skills and experience in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to work in non-ideal conditions and climates for an entire shift
  • Ability to climb, work at various heights, and lift a minimum of 50lbs
  • Ability to manage tasks with little to no supervision
  • Must be able to communicate effectively written and orally
  • This role will be customer facing, must have the ability to interact with customers on a daily basis
  • Strong experience with networking infrastructure, hardware, software, installation, management and virtualization; experience with the full hardware/software stack needed to implement and run a server.
  • Expertise and hands on experience with servers, routers, switches, firewalls, hubs, gateways and bridges
  • Experience with WAN/LAN, TCP/IP, DNS, VLAN

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong network security hands on experience
  • Load balancing optimization for low latency high throughput networks
  • Experience working with applications that are both premise and cloud based
  • Windows (required) and Linux (desired) experience

Specializations (Not Required, but Helpful)

  • Security certifications, such as CISSA, Security+, CISSP
  • Other certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP
  • Experience with Cisco networks and hardware
