This SYNEXXUS position requires a dynamic, mid-level software developer to develop advanced and robust wed applications.  The employee is a key developer whose work is immediately deployed and used by customers.

SYNEXXUS creates and deploys advanced web applications for both the industrial and defense markets.  Our application capabilities include dashboards, customized work flow, data visualization, video display and recording capabilities, document storage and viewing, and others needed for specific customer solutions.  SYNEXXUS uses several current technology stacks, with minimal legacy (old) technology limitations.

Experience needed includes 3 to 5 year coding experience and BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with focus on programming, or equivalent.

Software skills required are Angular 4, Backbone (or similar), C++, Java, database driven web applications with SQL backend, JSON, REST, ETL, XML, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery and JavaScript.  Strong teamwork and collaboration skills are also required.

Essential Job Functions/Skills

  • The web front-end/full-stack developer with strong front-end experience who is familiar with Angular(or similar technologies) and ideally Backbone.
  • The web front-end/full-stack developer will integrate the web based front-end and database driven back-end applications utilizing RESTful APIs or similar technologies.
  • Ability to design web-based technologies will serve as the human interface to IoT connected devices serving up large amounts of data, the interfaces should be designed to be intuitive, simple, and astatically pleasing to users.

Required Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with focus on programming, or equivalent.
  • Analytical, diagnostic / debugging / troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills required for integrating web based front-ends and database driven back-ends.
  • Strong understanding of MVC architecture, RESTful APIs, and responsive design.
  • Experience with Backbone, Angular 4, or similar MVC architectures.
  • Strong programming experience with HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript.
  • Experience using relational databases (MySQL).
  • Understanding of the development process and testing cycle including bug tracking and formal code documentation and releases. 
  • Familiarity with the Linux operating system.
  • Scripting and support for custom applications.
  • Experience coding and testing in a team environment.
  • Experience with common development and repository tools (i.e. SVN, GIT, JIRA, etc.)
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. DoD SECRET Security Clearance Required.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience deploying Java webapps via Tomcat or similar web hosting.
  • Experience with Java-based web technologies, Spring Framework, and/or Spring Boot
  • Experience programming in Java, C, and/or C++.
  • Experience with Grunt, NPM, and Bower.
  • Experience with Node.js.
  • Experience with distributed systems.
